| Icons! |
[05 Apr 2010|08:52am] |
There is a serious lack of BRMC icons, so I took it upon myself to make a few. There are only 17, but it's better than nothing! Enjoy!

Mighten anyone of you lovely people have any BRMC icons that you've made? I would like to use some of them, and I would credit of course ;) (I'm no good at making icons myself... alas..)

| PLEASE REPOST THIS: |

"The band's personal storage locker was broken into and Michael Been's (Robert's dad and our sound man) had his vintage equipment stolen. Items were 1954 Fender Esquire (Yellow with Black Pick Guard), 1968 Ampeg Scrolltop Fretless Bass, 1964 Black Fender Precision Bass and a 1968 Gretsch Country Gentleman Single Cutaway. Please repost this and help spread the word - these items were extremely personal and the band, Michael, crew and management are devastated over this brazen act. Thank you."

There is no news about where to get the dvd/cd or what it's going to cost, but I have to say it looks pretty excellent. Not sure how I feel about their contribution to the New Moon soundtrack, but the bills have to be paid somehow I suppose and in these uncertain times it'd be foolish to turn down a paycheck.

Following the online exclusive release of The Effects Of 333, Peter, Rob and Leah have entered the studio to start recording BRMC..'s 5th Studio Album. The tentative plan is to release the album later this year with tour dates to follow.
In other news, the band have recently completely their first ever live DVD, with audio mixed by Peter Hayes, recorded in Glasgow, Berlin and Dublin during the Baby 81 world tour. The DVD will see a release later this spring and more information on the release will be coming soon.
Exclusive to members of the site, close friend to the band, Billy Nicorgski, has shot a selection of pre-production photos of the band from The Cobbs studio in Philadelphia. These photos will be available in the Gallery later this week and a notice will go out when those photos are available.

Excited about the whole thing, a new album, a live dvd and possibly a tour, all in the same year :)

Oct 27, 2008
We are proud to announce our first release independent of any record company. As our first release through our Abstract Dragon label, this record is exactly that – no lyrics, no apologies, no regrets, just abstract. This has been in the works for the last 3 years at least, on and off the road, in hotel rooms, bus bunks, and back stage.
1. The Effects Of 33 2. Still No Answer 3. I Know You're In There 4. And With This Comes 5. A Sad State 6. A Twisted State 7. Sedated With Sterilized Tongues 8. We’re Not Welcome Alone 9. Or Needed 10. And When Was Better
This will be available as a digital download only through our new music store. The banners will take you there at 3:33 am Pacific Time on November 1st.
3 people will be selected for a private video chat/interview with Peter Hayes that will take place on the 333rd day of the year.
Happy Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos

hola fellow BRMC fans!
Thought you guys might be interested in seeing some pictures from The Hot Moves (Nick's new band) show last night at the Troubadour. This was only their second show and they only played 6 songs but were really good. Nick's got a nice voice on him!

( and some more )
So who else will be at the SF headline shows? I can't wait!

What are your favourite videos of the rebels (preferably live performances)?
These are 2 of my absolute faves:
'Spread Your Love' - live in Toronto, 2005 Extended version of 'Red Eyes And Tears' with an amazing reprise
